woman crunchesWe recently ran a giveaway where we asked entrants to let us know their best fitness tips. There was some great advice in there, so we thought we would share some of our favourite tips with you!

“Keep your training shoes right next to your bed so as soon as you wake in the morning, you put them on and get into some exercise.”

“Get your exercise clothes ready the night before so they are the first thing you see in the morning.”

“Exercise first thing in the morning, then it’s over and done with early and there’s no time to make up excuses or be weighed down by the stress of the day. Plus it gives you a great energy boost for the whole day.”

“Keep track of your workouts on a chart or journal so you can see your progress as you get fitter.”

“Find a workout buddy. You’re more likely to keep each other on track and have more fun doing your workouts as it becomes a social occasion.”

“Treat exercise like a normal daily task. You wouldn’t brush your teeth to maintain their health only twice a week so don’t do it to your body!”

“Regular exercise doesn’t make up for a sedentary lifestyle – stay active throughout the day.”

“Plan ahead. Food, training, supplements etc. Make a 1-2 week plan to follow and just do it.”

“Always make sure you take the time to warm up, cool down and stretch when doing a workout.”

“Turn (household) cleaning into a fitness workout – every little bit helps.”

“Mix it up a little; do different forms of exercise to keep yourself out of your comfort zone.”

“The only way to see a permanent improvement is to make a permanent change to your lifestyle. Forget short-term fad diets, instead follow a clean healthy eating plan. You’ll soon feel and look better for it!”
