Now that the warmer weather is on its way and the daylight hours are increasing, there’s no reason to be cooped up inside for your dates. Check out these great Spring date ideas to get you both outdoors and active.
Get your hiking boots on
New Zealand has a lot of beautiful scenic walks and hikes that will get your heart pumping. Find one that the both of you would like to do, put on some sturdy shoes and get to it!
Spend a day with the lions, tigers and bears (oh my!)
The zoo is rarely seen as a prime date option, but you’ll get plenty of exercise walking around to see all the animals and it will be lots of fun! Make your way around the entire zoo to get a good day’s exercise out of it.
Go for a round of golf
Plenty of fresh air, walking and a fair bit of coordination to hit a small ball with a big stick required! No good at golf and don’t think you’re quite ready for a proper round of golf yet? Take it down a notch and opt for a mini-golf course instead.
Do some grassroots shopping
Most regions have some kind of an outdoor village or farmer’s market these days. Find the ones in your area (or outside your area if you want to make a day trip of it!), sample some fresh artisan foods and see what arts and crafts they offer. For extra romance points, pack a picnic blanket and buy items you can take with you such as fresh breads, cheeses, relishes, vegetables and meats.
