(I can’t believe it’s not) Banana Icecream

This healthy, low calorie, uber basic recipe for Banana Icecream is so creamy, you won’t believe it’s not real icecream. Impress all your friends with this quick and easy dessert that only needs bananas, a freezer and a food processor!

As there’s only one ingredient in it, that makes this suitable for anyone dairy free, meat free, gluten free and vegan among others, so if you’re hosting a dinner party this is a great one to do for a dessert. Just make sure you serve it up just before eating otherwise it melts quickly.

INGREDIENTS

– 3-4 bananas, add more or less depending on how much you want to make

INSTRUCTIONS

Discard banana peels and chop bananas into bite sized chunks

Place into a sealed container and freeze banana chunks until frozen through.

Pour frozen banana chunks into a food processor and process on high. They will start to break down into a mixture with visible chunks – keep processing until it begins to look thick and creamy like icecream.

Serve immediately. Garnish with a few mint leaves if you want to be fancy!
